Program Snapshot

Designed for learners aged four to fifteen, this foundation-level course is split into two age-appropriate tracks to ensure students master the relationship between Malayalam letters, syllables, and sounds.

Level 1 (Ages 4–8): Focuses on phonetics, letter recognition, and Maatras.

Level 2 (Ages 9–15): Advances to passage analysis and creative story composition.

Who Would Benefit

Children who have a basic exposure to Malayalam but need a structured environment to develop formal reading and writing skills, categorized by age for targeted learning.

Eligibility Criteria

A basic, introductory knowledge of Malayalam (such as hearing it spoken at home or recognizing very common words) is recommended to begin this foundational journey.

How the Program Works

Using the LSRW (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing) and VAK (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic) methods, instructors use everything from flashcards to real-world objects to make the script come alive.

Course Curriculum

A tiered pathway to linguistic confidence.

Letter & Sound Mastery: Accurate phonics and letter combinations.

Vowel Signs: Introduction to Maatras and their phonetic impact.

Word Building: Constructing simple vocabulary and phonetic patterns.

Course Highlights

Achieve early literacy and technical accuracy through a student-centered approach, emphasizing the connection between written symbols and spoken sounds.

Multi-Sensory Learning

Engage with the language using VAK methods—seeing the letters (Visual), hearing the sounds (Auditory), and using real objects or tracing (Kinesthetic).

Interactive Oral Reading

Teachers conduct regular read-aloud sessions to monitor and fine-tune pronunciation, ensuring a natural and confident flow.

Contextual Word Building

Beyond memorizing lists, students use games and dictation to practice how letters blend into meaningful words.

Storytelling Foundations

Level 2 students learn to express original ideas clearly in Malayalam, building a bridge to more advanced grammar courses like Mikav.

Assessment Plan

Evaluation is conducted in a supportive, fun environment through letter-sound matching games, dictation, and jumbled-word tasks. Each unit concludes with a small test or project to validate progress in reading fluency and sentence construction.
